It has been awhile since I have been on I really need to keep up at least once a month. Kiya has grown so much, she is my growing flower and blooming more and more everyday. She is smiling tons and every once in awhile you will get a giggle. She loves taking baths by the fire and showers with mommy, while in the shower she loves putting her head under the water and recently she likes sucking the water off of my shoulder. She loves getting massages after bath time and before bed, she lays there all relaxed and smiles during the whole massage.

Kiya loves to stand, of course we have to hold her up but she thinks she is such a big girl and tries to stand as tall as she can while pushing her chest out with a big smile, she could do this all day if our arms allowed us too. She is such a sweet girl and loves being with me we do everything together and I still do not feel comfortable leaving her with anyone else but with me every once in awhile she will stay with daddy but not for very long, yes she is a mommies girl. She does love her daddy though when he is in the room she gets a big smile and lets him know when she wants him.

Toes, fingers, and more toes….. she likes sucking on her two fingers next to her thumb and recently found her thumb and a week ago she found her toes it is so cute watching her suck on them. Kiya likes to lift her legs and play with her feet. She also knows when it is time to change her diaper and is always lifting her legs for us. She loves to play with all of her toys one of her favorites is her play mat with all her fun toys that hang from it and we just bought her a jumper which she is starting to enjoy and jump a little in. She still likes her swing and bouncer but that is more for a relaxing.

Kiya is really getting curious with food every time I start to eat she thinks she is hungry and needs to eat but lately when she sees food she keeps looking at it and watches us eat. Sometimes she gets excited like she thinks it is hers and every time I take a bite she opens her mouth as wide as she can, in another week I will introduce her to her own solid foods I can not wait for the messy faces.

My parents came to visit the middle of March and they all fell in love with each other. We had lots of fun we went on a long road rip traveling 760 miles and Kiya did great, she is such a good little traveler. We went to Discovery Bay for 2 nights drove around the coast and stayed 2 nights at Surfside. We also went up the space needle and to Pikes Market place, Kiya really loves going out. I can not wait for the warm weather so we can go walk the parks.

She seems to grow everyday and we fall more in love with her everyday. I can still sit and just look at her all day and night, I don’t want to miss a thing. My favorite moments are when we sit and talk she has the sweetest voice and loves telling me stories, I love her snuggles when she sleeps with me and how she wakes up with a smile, she is such a happy baby we truly have been blessed.

I can not believe that Kiya is already over 2 months old, time goes by so fast. She is growing more and more everyday she is my little flower that keeps blooming more and more everyday.

6 weeks 3 days old

It really feels a lot longer when I think about it; I couldn’t imagine my life with out her or how it even was with out her, right now she is my everything. Can not believe how much she has grown in the last couple of weeks. She smiles tones and loves to look at everything that is around her. My favorite moments are the times she looks at me and smiles just before I feed her or during the time she is eating. She really does melt my heart she is such a mommies girl loves being in my arms, I also can not help just to hold her. I feel great I think I am all healed and feel back to my self, I have lost 29 pounds since I had Kiya. I go for my check up on monday and hope to get the ok to start exercising and get back into shape.

Aunt Shastina and cousin Rylan were here for a few days, we had lots of fun. We went shopping, took pictures with Kiya and Rylan and hung out at home. It was very nice and relaxing. Rylan loved Kiya, after warming up to her. He would rub her head and cheek, tried sharing his pretzels with her and was very worried when he thought I was leaving her in the car or when she cried it was very cute watching him with her. He was jealous of Shastina holding her; he is her baby and needed to remind her.

I bought Kiya a swing and she loves it, I think I will love it too. She finally is taking a pacifier, mostly when she is tired and not hungry and it helps not to use me as a pacifier as much, she is cute trying to hold it in her mouth but lets you know when it comes out and needs help putting it back in. She loves taking showers with me and took her first shower with daddy last night, she had so much fun so did daddy. Kiya has been sleeping very well at night, I usually get 6+ hours and she hardly ever cries unless she is hungry or wanting me. My little girl is getting so big I wish she wouldn’t grow so fast I want to keep her my baby forever.

One Month Old

One Month Old 1-17-2011

It doesn't seem possible that Kiya is already a month old, wow time sure does fly by. She is growing so much the other day we upgraded her diapers from new born to size one made me kind of sad and she has already out grown some of her clothes. She is such a good baby only cries when she is hungry and it isn't that loud of a cry, she sure loves to grub down ad fill her pants. She is a really good sleeper she loves sleeping on me or beside me and when I am really tired she sleeps pretty good in her co- sleeper by the bed but we both like to cuddle. She is very alert and strong always moving and making noises and can hold her head up really high for a long time and look around or stare at mommy. I can stare at her forever and hear her little grunts and noises, she is such a loud sleeper, eater, going to the bathroom everything she does is loud I love it.

When we first brought her home grandma and grandpa stayed with us for a week, which was a lot of help they cleaned, made meals, helped with Kiya and kept us company. The second day we were home we had a nurse come in and make sure everything was still going good with her she lost 10% of her body fat went down to 7.5 pounds so she made us a drs appointment for the next day, xmas eve. While we were there we found out that she was down 12% of her body fat so they had me feed her and after she gained 2 ounces so there was no concern at all. Ever since then she has been a piggy and plumping out, we call her ziggy piggy, she is starting to get some really cute rolls our chunky monkey. We had 3 dr appointment with in a week and 2 of them they had to draw blood it was harder on me and daddy had to be in the room holding her while I hide in the waiting room but she is is a really healthy baby and we will not be back to the dr for another month to endure shots. We did have Christmas Eve at our house, it was a lot of fun with family and everyone was so happy to see and hold Kiya. I didn't have to do anything well no one would let me so all the cooking and cleaning was done by Roger and his parents. We had Christmas morning at our house with Rogers parents, Roger went to build a bear and made mommy cuddle bear and baby cuddle bear for us and bought Kiya a christmas bear it was so cute. This was the first year I didn't go all out on gifts my big gift to everyone was a baby I thought that was big enough. We went to Rogers grandparents for Christmas again it was alot of fun being around family. We had New Years at our house, Rogers parents, cousin and grandparents came over we played games and watched a movie Kiya and I actually stayed up past New Years as we sipped on blueberry cider rather the champaign. Besides the holidays we have been pretty chill staying in we are pretty lazy and spend most of or days cuddling in bed, I can not help but hold her all the time. We have had some outings to the dr and a few shopping trips and out to dinner with grandma and grandpa she didn't like that I was eating with out her and got fussy towards the end. I have only been out 3 times alone with her, I much rather stay in then have her out in the cold. We will be starting or limber babies yoga class on Sun where we will be singing doing yoga and meeting other parents I'm really looking forward to it. I have been healing really good still a little sore but I can move around and get a lot of stuff done now, the first week was a little rough and got a lot better after as the weeks went on. I only gained 24 pounds in the pregnancy and already down 26 pounds 2 pounds less then when I got pregnant I'm doing pretty good with eating right and breast feeding. I can not wait to get the ok to start exercising and get back into shape.

Well this month has been amazing and life changing I feel Roger and I have become closer, he has been great taking care of the two of us. I love so much being a mommy as Roger loves being a daddy we just can not get enough of Kiya. My heart still melts every time I look at her I just wish time would slow down a little but I am sure not missing a beat I will always hold her close so I don't miss a thing.
